Volunteer Opportunities at the High Museum of Art

Managing director of a team of wealth advisers at Merrill Lynch’s Atlanta/Buckhead office, Rod Westmoreland is a widely recognized financial adviser with more than 30 years of experience. Dedicated to giving back to his community, Rod Westmoreland supports several organizations and groups, including the High Museum of Art.

The premier art museum in the southeastern United States, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta relies heavily on the support of its volunteers. Individuals who work with the museum enrich their lives and those of the community members. Volunteering with the High Museum of Art brings numerous opportunities to gain customer service skills and interact with other individuals who share a passion for the arts. It also allows volunteers to stay in the know about new events and galleries at the High Museum of Art through monthly email updates, and it rewards them with invitations to special events for volunteers only.

To ensure all volunteers work in areas they are passionate about, the High Museum of Art maintains numerous volunteer positions. Participants can opt to greet visitors to the lecture program on Thursdays and Saturdays, or to the weekend film series. They also can provide helpful information as an information desk volunteer. In addition, the museum regularly seeks individuals willing to volunteer with exhibitions, the Friday Jazz program, and the education department. These volunteers do everything from distribute event programs and provide directions between galleries to encourage visitors to explore and discover art.
